SAVE THE SEASON

Turn 18–32 into a comeback story.

Five decisions, one deadline, and a roster that needs you to see the bigger picture.

You inherit a crisis

Save the Season starts after 50 games with an 18–32 record. There are 32 regular-season games left. The roster, trade offers and injury outcome are tied to the run’s seed, so a daily board or shared challenge is reproducible. Your task is to make five decisions that give the team its best chance of reaching 40 wins, the game’s playoff threshold.

Make the deadline count

The first decision is a trade. A defense-heavy roster may need a creator or shooting; an offense-heavy roster may need a stopper. The second decision signs one sixth man: a microwave scorer, defensive stopper or energy prospect. Their bonuses and budget costs are visible. The starter budget and bench signing share the same 150-unit cap.

Fit the system to the players

Pace & space adds offense and rewards a roster with at least three shooters. Defense first rewards three defensive specialists while reducing offense slightly. Motion offense gives a chemistry bonus when the team has two strong creators. A shooter has an arcade spacing rating of at least 84; a defensive specialist has defense of at least 87; a creator has passing of at least 86. The fit notes on the roster help you see these thresholds.

Handle the injury honestly

Your top-rated player develops a sore ankle. Rest & recover reduces fatigue and improves morale, but the first three simulated games receive a strength penalty. Next man up carries a smaller lingering penalty, especially with a defensive bench signing. Rush the return has a visible 50% risk: it either restores full strength or leaves an injury penalty of eight. The seeded result is revealed as soon as you commit.

Choose a finish you can sustain

Tight rotation improves immediate offense and defense while raising fatigue. Fresh legs reduces fatigue at a small offensive cost. All-in attack improves spacing but weakens defense. Your final report shows the 32-game run-in, final record and playoff finish. A playoff berth is already a comeback from 18–32; a championship needs a much stronger finish and successful playoff series.
